Before your wallet activates, SOTCoin verifies your identity. We check your ID document, your face, and a few other details against Timor-Leste’s financial-crime rules. It’s the same standard used by formal banks, and it’s why you can use SOTCoin to receive a salary, transact with merchants, or move money abroad. You only ever go through verification once.

What if I lose my phone?
Freeze your account from any other device, then contact support. We’ll help you safely move to a new phone after re-verifying your identity.
Who can see my transactions?
Only you. Your activity is private by default and never shared with anyone outside the people you choose to pay.
Are my funds safe if SOTCoin has an outage?
Your balance is held with regulated partners and reconciled continuously. Outages affect access, not ownership.
What if I'm tricked into approving a payment?
Every payment requires a deliberate on-device confirmation. If you spot a fraudulent transaction, freeze immediately and tell support — we’ll investigate and help recover where we can.
