What it's like to work here
Local-first, builder-friendly, and async-friendly — in that order.
We’re a small team, which means everyone here ships. Engineers talk to merchants, designers ride along on field visits, and customer support people file bug reports that turn into next week’s features. There is no thick layer between the people building the product and the people using it.
We work async-first because Dili is a long way from many of the partners and contractors we work with. We default to written decisions, recorded walkthroughs over standups, and shipping in small, reviewable increments. We expect strong opinions loosely held, an appetite for ownership, and a genuine interest in the country we’re building for.

Where are you based?
Dili, Timor-Leste. Most of the team is here. We hire remote contributors selectively where the timezone overlap works and the role really fits async work.
What does the hiring process look like?
A first conversation with someone on the team, a paid project or scoped work sample, and then a final round with the people you’d work with most closely. We aim to give a yes or no within two weeks of the first call.
Is remote work an option?
For some senior engineering roles, yes. For most operations, design, and customer roles we need you in Dili or willing to relocate — proximity to merchants and users matters.
Do you offer equity?
Yes — meaningful equity for early team members. We can talk specifics once we know which role fits and where you’re coming from.
